Oh so #trumanchester

MCC trumanchesterIn TRU style the location changed at least once and getting to the front door turned out to be the easy bit.

Once inside I spent half a day wandering the corridors joining random meetings about engineering, fire alarms and how to SPAM people who may just be looking for a job. I ate lots of healthy food in and around Chinatown and spent the evening in the Bed bar.

TRU events have clearly landed in the North West of England!

Hey you with the flashy career site.....

I am still asked "Who has the best career site?" There are many great looking sites but that means nothing if the owner has no idea about measurement and performance. Using a swimming analogy, the training needs to be specific for the race. Times show performance and levels of improvement. Training is tweaked accordingly based on results. And on it goes. Clear goals in mind, specific activities to improve performance, measures to show improvements/losses.

@andyheadworth response to planted wind up question at Social Recruiting Workshop #SRWS

As most of you that attended the the workshop know, the WIFI was pretty poor. On some occasions it worked, on others it didn't. For Andy Headworth his presentation was full of promise but let down by the WIFI. Nick Price of Working Films who is producing the video for the day asked Andy how he felt about me cutting his WIFI half way through his live presentation (which I didn't of course). This was his response. The delay is amusing while he thinks of a suitable answer.

Thanks Andy :) Oh, and the Matt Alder interview is even better!

Social Recruiting Workshop 26 May Update 2

I have decided to extend this workshop to allow for up to 70 delegates although as of this point, I have 66 people registered.  If you are already on the June Wait List you will have been sent an e-mail with a simple "click to transfer" option but it will be whoever gets in first.  If you are NOT on the official wait list and would like to be considered then register here and I'll see what I can do.

Social Recruiting Workshop 26 May Update 1

This workshop is now well and truly full.  Unfortunately I have had to reject a few people so apologies if you were one of these people.  There are now 55 people booked for a room that in theory only holds 42 plus a side room where we will be running our 1-to-1 recruitment "surgeries".

So it's going to be a bit of a squeeze and somewhat busy.
