The majority of corporate recruiters are not yet using social media as a strategic recruitment channel partly due to lack of knowledge but in a lot of cases, due to fear.But the real fear should be fear of what happens if you do nothing as nothing leaves you vulnerable to whatever anyone wants to say about you; good or bad.

I tweeted a few weeks ago about how social media monitoring tools could be used for employer brand monitoring.
I still find the whole concept of the employer brand to be a bit of contradiction in that your brand is dictated by 'what you do, not what you say'. I know from conversations I have had with clients that they struggle to get hard examples from pitching ad agencies of other organisations that are doing really solid work with their employer brand and more importantly, hard evidence of how they have benefited from such work.
For example, how would some of the banks go about promoting their employer brand right now?
