Social Media World Forum - London - Enterprise Solutions

Social media blocked

Just over 12-months ago I wrote a report about Social Media in the Workplace hoping that social networks would be freely available to all employees.  So how does it look now?

In many cases not much different, but things are changing fast.  More and more enterprises are starting to share their experiences which will give more companies the confidence to create a more open, collaborative workplace.  It may not result in everyone having access to Facebook and Twitter but at least work will become more "social".

If this is something of interest you need to make sure you attend the enterprise social media conference on 15 March in London.  You can see the full speakers list here but in summary include:

  • Virgin Media.
  • Shell.
  • Pfizer.
  • Santender.
  • Vodafone.
  • And more.....

It's not very often I go to a social media conference with the expectation to learn a LOT but in this case I have high expectations!  If you can't make it, I'll be covering it on my blog and twitter to see how the different experiences can be applied to the social workplace and social recruiting.
