Forrester Groundswell Awards 2008

Over 150 submissions have been made by anxious web 2.0 and social media developers hoping that their creation will be considered the 'best-of-the-best' 2008.  There are of course some great concepts but, out of the 150 or so I only found 4 (less than 3%!) that were related to employees/recruitment.  Just shows what a massive opportunity still awaits us all in the social media in the workplace category.  The 4 relevant submissions were:

  1. Accenture's Borderless Workplace.
  2. Inspiration Intranet.
  3. Social Computing at Universal McCann.
  4. Social networking IBM style.

One additional submission worth mentioning is Success Factors:

This to me is a great example of how to use social networking to connect both employees and customers where everybody gains an advantage from the relationship.  Taleo, Stepstone, Jobpartners, take note if you are serious about the talent technology space.  SF are showing you how to do it!
