Attract more with less

Why drop a job board that works for the latest job board without knowing if it will work?  What if you don't know though; do you jump ship, hedge your bets or spread your cash a bit thinner across more channels?

My view is to do more with less, particularly if they have been around a while or they have evidence of other employers getting REAL value; and that means hires NOT applications!  If you are in a niche e.g. retail, accounting/finance, IT etc then use the niche job boards as your main paid for channel.  But don't use 2-3 of them, pick your horse and feed it a bit more rather than try and ride two at the same time.  It costs twice the amount to ride two but rarely delivers twice as much.

And think about how the job boards get their traffic - search.  Miss out the middle man and think about using Search Engine Marketing (SEM).  Not sure about SEM; here's Ten things you probably didn't know about Google Adwords.
