Working at Sainsburys

So Sainsbury's are expanding their Homewares offering even further.  Personally, I think they should focus on being better than Waitrose at food rather than chasing non-food.  I think they could otherwise end up being back where they were a few years ago; confused, downbeat and lost in the middle of nowhere land!

But what do I know?

The point however is that as they expand they will need more people which is of course great news.  This being the case, they may want to make it easier to find their career site.  For example, if you try searching for:

jobs at sainsburys

working at sainsburys

In both cases the career site is nowhere to be seen; but my blog posts are of course! (this one may take a few days).  With the changes from Google around 'brand hijacking' this makes it even more critical that Sainsbury's get the SEO of their site sorted.  Particularly as they state on their site:

"Please note: During the recruitment process at Sainsbury's you will NEVER be asked to send any money to support with your UK work permit or Visa. You will only be approached by one of our Resourcing Consultants with a Sainsbury's originating email account. Please ignore any recruitment approaches from other sources. We are aware in recent months there have been several unsolicted approaches from various agencies."

For anyone actually looking to work at Sainsbury's the correct address for jobs at Sainsbury's, careers at Sainsbury's or working at Sainsbury's is:

http://www.sainsburys.co.uk/aboutus/recruitment/careers_new.htm

I have no idea why they do not just get this fixed.
