The end is nigh Danny boy!

Just over a year ago I raised the issue of RSS being used instead of job posting in my post 'RSS - the death of eQuest and Broadbean' not to antagonise(!) but to forewarn them of their impending doom so they could plan ahead!

And now the first job board has accepted this method of job consumption; how dare they.

Of course I know this will take a while before the bigger boards catch on and mapping to categories etc does not work quite as well, but what future do categories etc have anyway?  Personally I don't see much if any future for search categories.  OK, so Google have an advanced search page but when was the last time you used it?

I won't go on about search categories as this post is about how RetailOptions have been able to very quickly adapt to and accept a job feed in the same way as Indeed; giving them a clear advantage going forward.

Now all we need to do is get the ATS vendors to offer the jobs in the same way!
