HSBC - what a shame

HSBC have a very good career site as far as content is concerned, and is even quite well optimised for branded searches e.g. jobs at HSBC but, what a shame their attraction activities are NOT quite so well integrated with their career site!

The primary idea of decent SEM is to have people click on your advert and arrive at a landing page that is as expected e.g. Customer Service Jobs.

Looks more like a sales page to me so 'click here' looks enticing as ever!

Hsbc_broken_search

Shame about the broken page (Firefox only and yes, HSBC have been informed) but where are those pesky Customer Service jobs?

Which one????  I'm getting bored now, I'll try a job board instead.

Here we go, a job in Leeds on Retail Choice, this should be a lot easier.

Now what?  What happened to the Leeds job? Do I want to go to the retail site?  Well, it does say Retail Branch Managers.

Oh no not again, this all feels a bit well, you know, familiar.

Not again, maybe I should apply to Abbey, they want to know a lot about me personally, but at least it is all over and done with quickly.
