Abbey - a bigger bank and some bigger questions

Abbey ran a large advert in the Sunday Times for Financial Advisers linking to a dedicated microsite; so I thought I'd have a look to see how good it was!

Apart from the flash, first impressions were good!

Nice, easy navigation with straight forward details.  And then I saw the contact details - recruitment outsourced to an agency!!!!!

However, this wouldn't always bother me particularly as the first part of the application process was very simple and how it should be for most i.e. keep it quick and simple for talent in demand!

But then I got to the next page!

I was surprised that in this age discrimination era that any employer would still ask for D.O.B. particularly as some financial employers request that ALL age related details are removed from your CV/application form.

I have to admit to being somewhat surprised at such a 'diverse' level of Britishness in the next question particularly as none of us are playing in the European Cup next year.

But of course they saved the best bit until last!

Why they would need to know about this I do not know but have to admit, they even have me lost for words on this one - which I why I'll leave it at that rather than say anything controversial!!
