What if you are not a market leading employer?

Many big name employers, particularly in the US, are making great use of video to sell their company; and of course most are using YouTube to host the video making it a lot easier for everyone to add it to their blogs etc.  Take this Cisco video that was covered on Recruitingwire, a new kid on the blog(!) according to Jim Stroud.

But what if you are not as exciting as Cisco or Google or Microsoft or.........

You know, for once, I haven't got a clue!  Or maybe I do.

Maybe Microsoft are showing us the way with View<myWorld>?  The bigger and better you get, the tougher it is to get the right people to support that growth.  But not every applicant will get a job with the 'wonder boys' and that does not in any way make them unemployable.

So, if you are not Google/Cisco/IBM/GE or whoever but would like some of their 'cast offs' better make sure your marketing, career site and process are slick because there are great people out there who won't look upon you kindly if your recruiting is a lot worse than their ideal employer.
