Stepstone iGRasp HR-XML compliance

I wrote about ATS HR-XML compliance on a recent post pointing out that ATS vendor HR-XML compliance is not quite as it would seem. 

Stepstone did not however agree with my findings and Martyn Arbon - CTO Stepstone wanted to put the record straight!  And I'm also going to point out a few other points that may be of interest to him.

Although you can read Martyn's comment here to make it easy this is what he said.

"This information about StepStone is accurate. StepStone was one of the founding members of the HRXML community and we sit on the board. The member list is inaccurate because due to acquisitions we were listed multiple times and this is being cleaned up. The StepStone ETWeb product is certified with HRXML and the i-GRasp product will be when business demand requires us to do so."

Now, as I pointed out on this post Stepstone have a habit of promising functionality and then coming back with the 'business demand' response and yet again this seems to be the case.  I have a Functionality Matrix, completed by Stepstone in May 2006 that clearly states they are HR-XML compliant - so I'm a little confused again.

Martyn also points out that the Stepstone ETWeb product is HR-XML compliant which may of course be a fact but, it is a bit of a red herring as ever because anyone buying an ATS is not interested (initially) in ETWeb functionality as it is more about Talent Management than E-recruitment.

And finally (for now) the HR-XML member list does NOT show Stepstone but as Martyn points out, the list is being cleaned up and when business demand dictates I'm sure HR-XML will make sure it is up to date.
