CEO's slam HR over lack of talent

"Personnel Today reports that CEO's are putting people issues at the top of their agenda for 2007 - but fear that HR professionals are not up to the task of dealing with them."

As ever HR get a blasting for not being able to step up to the 'strategic plate' yet business leaders rarely give them the credit or tools to deliver the goods.  How many CEO's quote recruitment as a board level issue?  People issues yes, but actually recruiting the right people in the first place is pretty damn important.

Maybe 2007 will see recruitment as a real Board level issue followed by Talent Management; to stop recruiting leavers and build leaders is what they know they need and online recruitment can play a major part.
