Are Google over hyped?

I am a big Google fan so found this post by Jason Goldberg of Jobster of interest.

Basically, the articles Jason has referred to question the success of various Google initiatives.  It also then points out that by trying many things they learn and will in due course hit on some major successes.

I use many Google services, some every day (e.g. Gmail) some not so much (e.g. Spreadsheets) but just hope they continue coming up with new ideas as it at least keeps their competitors on their toes so we all benefit in the long term.
